Wine Institute’s Export Program supports our state’s wine producers through leadership in export sales Development around the world.

Our team of international representatives in 18 international offices promotes California wines on the global stage with trade and consumer communications, digital advertising and promotion campaigns, social media activities in multiple languages, a comprehensive wine education program, and a variety of innovative educational tools. We also organize California’s participation in leading international wine exhibitions, and trade missions to leading export markets, and offer both in-person and virtual master classes, tastings, and seminars for trade, media, and consumers worldwide.

Our goal is to ensure the continued growth of California export sales around the world by driving momentum in current markets, expanding into new regions, and bringing more California wines and wineries into the export sales program. It is both our mission and our passion to introduce international trade, media and consumer audiences to California wines, and share our expertise about the quality, distinctive character and varied wine styles produced in diverse wine regions across the Golden State.

Wine Institute

Wine Institute, the voice for California wine, is the only U.S. organization advocating for wine at the state, federal and international levels.

Established in 1934, Wine Institute is the public policy advocacy group of over 1,000 California wineries and affiliated businesses that initiates and advocates state, federal, and international public policy to enhance the environment for the responsible production, consumption and enjoyment of wine. The organization works to enhance the economic and environmental health of the state through its leadership in sustainable winegrowing and by showcasing California’s wine regions as ideal destinations for food and wine travelers to the state.
