California Wines is proud to announce that the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance has been honored with the prestigious 2026 V d’Or for Best Sustainability Initiative. This global recognition celebrates the Climate Action Toolkit, an open-source, science-based resource designed to help vintners navigate climate risks through meaningful, data-driven action. With 70% of California’s vineyard acreage now certified sustainable and over 90% of its wine produced in certified facilities, this award underscores a deep-rooted commitment to environmental stewardship. As Executive Director Allison Jordan noted, this achievement is the result of decades of community-wide collaboration, ensuring that California remains at the forefront of resilient and responsible viticulture.
