Spotlight on California at VIWF 2025

From February 26 to March 1, California took center stage as the featured region at the Vancouver International Wine Festival (VIWF) 2025. A total of 44 California wineries participated, supported by a dynamic program that included 8 educational seminars, over 7 winemaker dinners, and special events attended by more than 8,000 guests.

Festival highlights included high-profile wine showcases and a VIP reception with key buyers from the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (BCLDB). One of the standout consumer events, Cruising California, drew a younger demographic and helped expand the region’s reach to emerging wine audiences—highlighting California’s broad appeal and forward-looking presence in the international wine scene.
