Bangladesh Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards Country Report 2022

Report Highlights:
The FAIRS Annual Country Report maintains the baseline information for Bangladesh as it relates to all food for human and animal consumption. In addition to an overview of the Government of Bangladesh’s regulatory infrastructure and import control policies, this report includes FAS Dhaka’s assessment of laws and requirements for food and agricultural products imposed on imports. Israel Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards Country Report 2022

Report Highlights:
Israel passes amendments to the Public Health Protection Act (Food) to ease and reduce the regulatory burden on food importation. Among the amendments is an importation track called the “European Track” which will come into force on January 1, 2023. • New temporary provision easing the importation of certain sensitive foods, “Public Health Protection Act Food (Certificate of Release for Certain Sensitive Foods) (Temporary Provision)- 2022.” • Cancellation of the additional requirements for importing and releasing food products imported without direct contact with the manufacturer.

New Zealand Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards Country Report 2022

This report outlines regulatory requirements for food and agricultural products exported to New Zealand. Guatemala Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards Country Report 2022

Report Highlights:
The Ministry of Health issued three updates this year: a) Presidential Decree 53-2022 establishes new fees for services as of March 1, 2022 b) Technical Norm 001-2022 provides regulations for food supplements, and c) Communication dated June 1, 2022 establishes guidance for sampling processed food products in Guatemala as part of the routine surveillance.

This report outlines Ecuador’s requirements for food and agricultural product imports. It is a guide on the regulations that exporters need to consider in order to enter their products into the Ecuadorian market. This report reflects the latest regulations regarding the non-automatic import licenses issued by COMEX on November 15, 2021 and the Ministry of Agriculture on March 7, 2022.

Chile Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards Country Report 2022

Report Highlights:
This report provides an overview of Chile’s current Sanitary Regulation for food Products (RSA by its name in Spanish), as well as any other regulation with the potential of disrupting food trade. Since the last version of this report in 2021, two new regulations were passed: one eliminating testing requirements for U.S. beer and the other requiring in country fortification of milk with vitamin D.
