California Wine Regional Showcase #5 in Okinawa
CWI hosted the 5th edition of California Wines Regional Showcase on January 16, this time in the tropical city of Naha in Okinawa Prefecture, where there is still a strong American influence. 10 importers travelled there to join us on site, showcasing 140 wines to 70 members of the local trade and 77 consumers attending, resulting in various new business leads. The popular California Wine Now seminar by our lead educator Kana Yamamoto was the first of its kind for most of the attendees and a rare opportunity to learn about California wine structurally.
