Venezuela Exporter Guide Annual 2025

This report outlines market conditions and opportunities for U.S. agricultural exports to expand or enter the Venezuelan market. In 2024, U.S. agricultural exports to Venezuela totaled $760 million, representing a 13 percent year-on-year decline but still marking the highest level since 2014. At the same time, Venezuela’s agricultural imports rose 15 percent in volume, driven by increased demand and slightly lower import prices. Ongoing challenges—such as exchange rate uncertainty, rapidly accelerating inflation, and broader economic instability—continue to threaten supply chains. However, the country’s food and retail sector has shown resilience, and U.S. brand recognition and acceptance remain strong. Despite the recent economic downturn, the U.S. maintains a solid market share, supported by competitive advantages in price, quality, and geographic proximity.
