Dominican Republic Exporter Guide 2025
The Dominican Republic ranks among the top three destination markets in the Western Hemisphere and within the top 12 globally for U.S. consumer-oriented products. In 2024, U.S. exports of these products to the DR exceeded $1 billion, up 10 percent year-on-year, driven by strong demand from foreign tourism and the retail sector. In the first four months of 2025, U.S. consumer-oriented exports reached over $423 million, also 10 percent higher than the same period last year. As trade in this category continues to grow, the United States is on track to maintain its position as the leading supplier of consumer-oriented agricultural products to the Dominican Republic, holding nearly 50 percent of the import market share.
