United Kingdom Exporter Guide 2024

The UK food and drink industry has faced multiple challenges in recent years, including COVID-19, cost-of-living, and adverse weather conditions. Wet weather in the UK has resulted in a significant decrease in harvests, particularly for crops like wheat, barley, and oilseed rape. This shortage in domestic production is expected to increase reliance on imports, putting pressure on supply chains and increasing costs for essential food products. In 2023, the UK imported $3.2 billion worth of agriculture and related products from the United States, a 7.1 percent increase from the previous year.
