Travel to China is still restricted, and we are not expecting many (if any) vintners to travel to China for the exhibition as quarantine would be required and most visas to China are still not being issued because of the pandemic. Once again, we will be including the “California Wines Showcase” as a feature of Prowine. The Showcase will allow wineries to send new-to-market wines which will be poured by staff hired by Wine Institute. These staff will pour the wines, handle inquiries and questions, and connect the inquirer to the winery. This is intended to give wineries the ability to exhibit their wines in China even if they do not have representation and cannot travel to the market. Meanwhile, for those wineries that already have representation in the market, we will offer booths as we have in the past. In addition to winery booths and the Showcase, there will be live streaming and seminars at the pavilion during the exhibition. ProWine is unique in China as it is the only international-caliber wine trade show in Mainland China. It is one of the very few opportunities to demonstrate to your importers, distributors, and to consumers that you are supportive of their activities and committed to the Chinese market.
