Brazil - Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards 2020

Report Highlights: The cabinet restructure under the administration of President Jair Bolsonaro had a low impact for exporters of agricultural goods. In 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA) updated wine regulation, changing the certificate of origin, analysis, and tipicity for alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, while the National Agency of Sanitary Surveillance (ANVISA) is still revising aspects of nutritional labeling, which is expected to be in effect in 2020.
