ProWein 2007
Düsseldorf, March 18th to 20th, 2007
The 14th annual exhibition of ProWein, held at the Duesseldorfer Messe fair ground concluded March 20th. 32,000 trade visitors from 43 countries convened to sample established products, investigate novelties and discover new trends.
ProWein demonstrated its importance and leadership function setting the pace for the worls’s wine and spirits business. The media’s vastly increased interest in ProWein has contributed to its overall success as the presence of some 800 journalists from 34 countries including China, India, United States and Russia.
California Wine Institute was present with a 380 qm stand with 26 exhibitors representing roughly 150 wineries / brands. Daily from 11.30am the show-kitchen was open being a real magnet for visitors to enjoy the wine & food pairing aspect.
The California-Pavilion was well visited by professionals from various countries, journalists, key-buyers of important FRT chains. The PR in advance and during ProWein in connection with the evening events CWI participated in, had an impact on spreading the “re-discover California” message and surely did promote the quality image of CA wines. The general feedback from the CA exhibitors, which will be evaluated again with a questionnaire, was positive.
